Ceramic Braces
The teeth can be realigned, adjusted, and straightened using ceramic braces just like with conventional metal braces. Ceramic braces, on the other hand, are a popular substitute because they are less noticeable and highly esthetic.
Major differences between ceramic and metal braces:

- Ceramic braces function similar to conventional metal braces, that is by gradually repositioning teeth. However, are distinctive for their reduced visibility. They are very esthetic while smiling and talking.
- Ceramic braces use clear elastics and nearly clear arch wires that are esthetically acceptable.
- Ceramic is biologically inert and do not induce any allergies as is common with metals.
- Ceramic does not interfere with an electromagnetic fields, so undergoing scans like a MRI is hassle-free.
A few drawbacks of ceramic braces:
- In terms of durability, metal brackets are minimally less prone to breaking.
- Ceramic braces, and its clear components stain faster with foods and beverages.
- Ceramic braces are made of premium bio-friendly materials and are technique sensitive, hence they are more expensive than conventional metal braces.
Procedures for Ceramic Braces:
- The dentist first ensures that all the teeth are healthy with no cavities or gum infection; the dentist then takes X-rays and photographs of the teeth to plan the treatment. The whole treatment plan and its cost will be discussed with you prior to commencement of the procedure.

- The ceramic brackets will be secured to each tooth with a strong, tooth-friendly bonding material that blends with the natural hade of the teeth. A blue LED light is used to set and harden the adhesive.
