What is Invisalign treatment?
With completely invisible, removable braces, Invisalign treatment allows you to alter your smile discreetly and pleasantly.
Invisalign aligners are clear and custom-made to progressively straighten your teeth without needing metal wires or brackets. In as little as three months, your aligners can discreetly fix many distinct orthodontic problems to give you a balanced, even smile.
The aligners resemble transparent, flexible retainers and are detachable, allowing you to remove them when eating or cleaning your teeth.

How does Invisalign works?
- Visit the dentist – At your first appointment, the dentist will decide the course of your treatment. Then, bite impressions of your teeth will be taken and sent to Invisalign.
- Making your aligners – Your bite imprints are transformed into a custom-made series of transparent and removable aligners using 3D imaging technology. Depending on your needs, the series might include as many as 48 or as few as 12.
- Receive your aligners – The first aligners will be given to you at your next dental appointment. The dentist will likely offer you a couple extra pairs to wear before your next appointment.
- Wear your aligners – The aligners will be worn for around two weeks, except when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. You should see your dentist every six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing as expected. The entire therapy period ranges between 12 and 18 months.
- Finish your treatment – The treatment is complete when you have worn each pair of aligners. After that, you will be asked to wear retainers at night for six months, then a few times during the week as directed by your dentist, to help preserve your new straighter smile.
What are the benefits of Invisalign?
- Virtually invisible – The Invisalign system, unlike traditional braces, does not contain wires or brackets. However, because the transparent aligners are almost invisible, it is hard to tell that you are getting your teeth straightened.
- Comfortable – Invisalign clear aligners are more comfortable as compared to traditional braces. They are transparent, flexible, and customized for a comfortable fit. They can be removed too, so brushing your teeth and eating normally throughout treatment will be easy.
- See your finished smile – ClinCheck 3D imaging technology is used in Invisalign treatment to examine your teeth and manufacture your customized aligners.
The orthodontist will be able to show you a computerized depiction of how your teeth should appear after treatment before it begins.
How long does treatment take?
The average Invisalign treatment time takes about 12-18 months. However, this varies by situation. During your initial session, the dentist can propose which type of aligners are best for you and describe the length of treatment.
Is Invisalign treatment painful?
Although Invisalign treatment is not painful, you can expect some discomfort as you become adjusted to wearing your aligners. However, as you wear the aligners more frequently, they will feel more natural and comfortable.
Achieving a straighter smile requires some discomfort. Teeth straightening gradually shift your teeth into a new position, temporarily making them more sensitive.
